Are you ready to put your skills to work in a mission-driven environment? As a remote Part-Time Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing financial operations and ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting. We are looking for someone who can commit approximately 40 hours per month to help us achieve our goals. You will lead the finance team in managing accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance while providing strategic insight to support business decisions. Financial Controller Job Duties Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making by delivering financial insights and analyzing profitability and operational efficiency. Decision-Making: Exercise independent financial judgment and pro-actively share strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders with minimal supervision. Financial Planning: Develop annual budgets, create interim forecasts, and construct financial models as required. Reporting: Compile and present monthly and semi-monthly financial statements, reports, and analyses to management. Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and collaborate with tax consultants. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls. Communications: Conduct 1-on-1 semi-monthly and monthly financial review meetings with the CEO. Audit Coordination: Oversee the preparation and finalization of audit documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness while working closely with external auditors. Financial Controller Requirements Ability to handle a wide range of finance and accounting responsibilities, from strategic planning, construction financials, to hands-on bookkeeping and transaction management. • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (advanced degree, pricing analysis experience, or • Experience with 8(a) is PLUS MBA is a plus). • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience • Google Suite and Microsoft Office proficiency Financial Controller Preferred Qualifications • Experience with DCAA and FAR. • Experience with Unanet and Ramp • Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification About Us TJS Group is an 8(a), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) with DSS Top Secret Facility Clearance, providing a wide range of services to federal and commercial clients.
