Job Summary As a Value Stream Business Architect at bolthires, you will play a critical role in understanding the interrelationship between our defined business value streams and their impact on our overall strategic vision. You will work closely with business and technical partners to identify business needs, develop capabilities, and convey the association between these needs and the developed capabilities. Your expertise in business architecture and technical solution design will enable you to take apart complex concepts and sequence them into smaller, more manageable parts. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with portfolio business engineers, business and IT value stream owners, IT partners, and other stakeholders to understand and document bolthires's strategy for a value stream, including bolthires capabilities, current state assessments, and change plan recommendations. • Work with portfolio business engineers and IT architects to apply architectural principles and break down FXL portfolio artifacts into meaningful capability clusters for value stream teams. • Lead cross-functional efforts with business and IT design communities to apply engineering principles and translate value stream objectives and requirements into actionable roadmaps. • Support the Protected Portfolio Kanban process by decomposing portfolio stories into smaller, manageable work packets that can be consumed by SAFe value streams. • Synchronize value stream execution with the strategic roadmap, working closely with portfolio business engineers. • Contribute to the ongoing development of business design practices, processes, and tools across bolthires. Essential Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, IT systems, or a related discipline. • At least 3 years of experience in creating business capability roadmaps, breaking down complex concepts, and technical expertise to perform business architecture for an established value stream. • Strong understanding of organizational operations and the broader bolthires enterprise. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business and technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in a role with demonstrated strategic and technical influence in large-scale organizational projects. • Certification in Business Architecture or a related field. • Experience working in a logistics or transportation industry.
