About the Role & Program

The Sports Marketing College Networks team supports cross-platform marketing campaigns including direct-to-consumer and fan activations and experiences for ACC and SEC Network. As an intern on our team, you will support academic year strategy development through research, planning, and execution. You will also collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders such as Programming, Production, Media Planning and ESPN Creative Studios on marketing efforts.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment from June - December 2026 based in Charlotte, NC.

What You Will Do 

  • Support day-to-day marketing operations, including campaign development and maintenance, in collaboration with internal and external partners to drive consumption and engagement

  • Communicate and coordinate with ACC and SEC schools, conferences, creative agencies, and media partners to manage scheduling and delivery of creative assets

  • Own creative timelines and deliverables, ensuring work is completed, approved, and trafficked on time and within budget

  • Partner with internal teams to develop clear, actionable marketing briefs that support priority initiatives from concept through execution

  • Assist with planning and execution of fan activations at ACC and SEC tentpole events, working closely with agency and cross-functional partners

  • Contribute to creative ideation and ongoing team meetings, while supporting content capture, footage and music clearances, and creative asset management

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Prior internship or equivalent hands-on experience in sports marketing, athletics, media, or a related field, with a proven ability to contribute to marketing initiatives and campaigns

  • Solid understanding of the college sports landscape, with demonstrated knowledge of the ACC and SEC, including teams and fan engagement trends

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and present ideas across teams

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and thrive in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional, internship or academic role

  • Marketing and/or channel marketing related experience, particularly with athletic departments

  • Experience with Google Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop)

Education

  • Senior year preferred 

  • Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Sports Media or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization 

Additional Information

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Charlotte, NC area

  • A limited amount of housing assistance will be provided for those who are eligible

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in North Carolina is $22.50 per hour.
