Why does it matter: As Vonage grows its business across its core product offerings, and to future proof Vonage products today and in the future, we need to ensure that our products and services meet our privacy requirements and ambitions. This role will minimize privacy risks across our business by ensuring that the controls are implemented across our products, by providing world class strategic, operational, policy and other privacy support; and by identifying privacy related strategic opportunities in support of our business objectives. What you will do: • Roll out of privacy programs and policies across Vonage and related enterprise entities. Ongoing monitoring and reporting of effectiveness of privacy policies and controls. • Creating Vonage and related enterprise entities privacy requirements and supporting their implementation. • Building privacy into products and services through proactive privacy reviews to new products and services, supplier reviews, as well as regular reviews of high risk activities. • Supporting commercial and CMT teams by providing privacy advice, supporting negotiations and through other appropriate means. • Identifying strategic opportunities and communicating them to relevant business teams. • Promoting and maintaining privacy awareness across Vonage and delivering effective, role based privacy training programs. • Monitoring, communicating and adjusting to developments in global privacy legal frameworks as well as in relevant industry best practices and standards. • [support E ethics and compliance/GNP/Cradlepoint colleagues] What is required: • Expert legal or regulatory skills in privacy and data protection in at least the UK or EU, and excellent understanding of global privacy landscape in technology and online businesses. • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems in a complex technology and business environment by creating simple, repeatable and actionable solutions and policy positions. • Excellent communication, presentation, public speaking and people skills. • Comfortable with ambiguity. Persistence to drive change over time. • Results oriented, proactive, responsible, pragmatic and ethical person with a passion for privacy and interest in technologies and their societal impact.
