<h3 class="" data-start="136" data-end="168">Primary Responsibilities</h3> As the chosen candidate, you will be expected to carry out the following tasks: <ul data-start="251" data-end="2155"> <li class="" data-start="251" data-end="463"> Ensure that facility operations and business plans align with Saudi Aramco’s environmental protection policy as well as all applicable governmental and internal environmental standards and guidelines. </li> <li class="" data-start="464" data-end="593"> Identify compliance gaps and propose effective solutions to reduce environmental risks and enhance regulatory compliance. </li> <li class="" data-start="594" data-end="747"> Perform comprehensive greenhouse gas (GHG) and environmental assessments, offering actionable recommendations for mitigation and improvement. </li> <li class="" data-start="748" data-end="832"> Lead the development, review, and implementation of GHG management programs. </li> <li class="" data-start="833" data-end="1002"> Conduct internal GHG assessments across various facility types, including refineries, petrochemical complexes, NGL plants, and lubricant manufacturing sites. </li> <li class="" data-start="1003" data-end="1148"> Monitor solid and chemical waste disposal processes to ensure they meet environmental safety and regulatory compliance standards. </li> <li class="" data-start="1149" data-end="1292"> Track and assess facility performance in areas such as air quality, water conservation, wastewater treatment, and waste management. </li> <li class="" data-start="1293" data-end="1410"> Develop, maintain, and implement environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 standards. </li> <li class="" data-start="1411" data-end="1507"> Author and maintain comprehensive environmental procedures and best-practice guidelines. </li> <li class="" data-start="1508" data-end="1631"> Conduct internal benchmarking studies to compare environmental performance across oil and gas and refining sectors. </li> <li class="" data-start="1632" data-end="1832"> Stay informed about emerging international and regional environmental regulations, particularly those concerning GHG emissions, waste, and water management, to ensure regulatory alignment. </li> <li class="" data-start="1833" data-end="2004"> Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders (e.g., field engineers, executives) and external regulatory bodies to ensure cohesive and compliant operations. </li> <li class="" data-start="2005" data-end="2155"> Analyze complex datasets related to emissions, equipment performance, and other environmental parameters to drive strategic decision-making. </li> </ul> <hr class="" data-start="2157" data-end="2160" /> <h3 class="" data-start="2162" data-end="2197">Qualifications & Experience</h3> To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria: <ul data-start="2272" data-end="3224"> <li class="" data-start="2272" data-end="2384"> Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. </li> <li class="" data-start="2385" data-end="2498"> Possess a minimum of 17 years’ experience in refining, petrochemical, or oil and gas sectors. </li> <li class="" data-start="2499" data-end="2545"> EPI or QEP certification is preferred. </li> <li class="" data-start="2546" data-end="2657"> Demonstrated knowledge of environmental challenges specific to the oil and gas and refining industries. </li> <li class="" data-start="2658" data-end="2754"> Familiarity with international and governmental environmental regulations and standards. </li> <li class="" data-start="2755" data-end="2872"> Strong capabilities in handling technical sustainability data, including its methodology and limitations. </li> <li class="" data-start="2873" data-end="2972"> Proven analytical and problem-solving skills in the field of environmental engineering. </li> <li class="" data-start="2973" data-end="3075"> In-depth understanding of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and related requirements. </li> <li class="" data-start="3076" data-end="3224"> Experience in the development of decarbonization strategies, including establishing GHG baselines and setting emissions reduction targets. </li> </ul>
