The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, validating, and maintaining data across designated systems while adhering to quality, productivity, and compliance standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow established procedures, and a commitment to meeting turnaround time expectations.

Location – Remote
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm EST.

In this role, you will:
•Entry and verify data within computer-based systems with a high level of accuracy.
•Maintain compliance with data security, confidentiality protocols, and regulatory requirements.
•Complete timely and accurate data entry into designated databases or client systems based on established rules and SLAs.
•Follow all team SOPs, including HIPAA standards.
•Meet or exceed productivity and quality benchmarks.
•Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data entry questions and ensure complete, accurate processing.
•Provide additional administrative support as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager.

What you need to have to be considered:
•1+ years of data entry experience.
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Strong organizational and time management skills
•Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills
•Comfortable navigating multiple systems using dual monitors.
•Knowledge of medical terminology.
•Keyboard skills of at least 40 WPM plus proficiency with 10-key
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
•Ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and meeting productivity goals.

These will help you stand out:
•Previous experience in a healthcare environment doing data entry.

Hourly Rate and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until February 26, 2026.
The hourly rate for this position is between $15.00 – $16.00 per hour depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
