Other duties may be assigned as volume dictates.<br><br><ul><li>Confirm proper alignment of duties and taxes on each entry statement</li><li>Ensure all statements are paid accurately and timely</li><li>Provide documentation to US Customs as requested</li><li>Ensure timely release of entries before submitting payment to customs</li><li>Prioritize work to meet port deadlines</li><li>Examine shipping invoices and manifests and other documents for conformity to tariff and customs regulations</li><li>Data key entries into the brokerage operating system for transmission to U.S. Customs</li><li>Ensure required updates to Customer SOP's are noted to Lead or Trainer for all assigned accounts.</li><li>On some accounts provide CBP7501 entry summary forms, if account requires for release</li><li>Invoice UPS-SCS charges correctly and accurately with respect to the freight service level, customer profile and/or any special instructions from Field Service Center.</li><li>Provide excellence in customer service and perform other duties as assigned<br><br></li></ul><strong>Language Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or ports of entry</li><li>Possess acceptable written and oral communication skills..</li><li>Ability to work closely with a team<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Foreign Language Knowledge<br><br></strong><strong>Mathematical Skills - </strong>Ability to do mathematical equations and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions as needed to complete entries.<br><br><strong>Reasoning Ability - </strong>Ability to solve simple problems, collect data, balance preliminary reports, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.<br><br><strong>Commitment to Product - </strong>12 Month lock in the Statements Department.<br><br>The individual who accepts the position must understand their scheduled vacation time is subject to change if their time conflicts with those vacation times already scheduled in the department.<br><br>Individuals who accept this job opportunity will be expected to be flexible in assisting with coverage in other departments, during fluctuations in volume, vacation coverage or leave of absence coverage and as required by their management team.<br><br><strong>Other Criteria<br><br></strong><strong>Accounting/finance experience<br><br></strong>Employer will not sponsor visas for position.<br><br>UPS is an equal opportunity employer.
