WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE AND PROVIDE?

- Commitment of full month-long program: May 26th – June 26th, 2026

- Daily one-hour lunch break with $25 stipend

- Offer 3 days at sea on vessels - get to select 2 types of fishing experiences (trawling, lobstering, gillnetting, aquaculture, charter boat, dredging)

- We will provide all necessary gear

- We will provide all course material and books

- Upon full completion of the month-long program, participants receive a $1,500 stipend*

- Support from CFCRI for placement onto RI fishing vessels

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN CFAP?

- Must be ages 18+

- Must have a driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation

- Must pass background check and drug test

- Must be willing to commit to a full month-long program

- MOST IMPORTANTLY, must be interested in making a career in commercial fishing!
