**Caterpillar Career Pathways Program**

The **12-month Caterpillar Career Pathways Program** is designed to provide high school rising seniors with an opportunity to build foundational work skills in preparation for a long-term career in the manufacturing trades at Caterpillar.

Selected students will participate in a multi-phase program that develops both technical and non-technical competencies needed for full-time employment in welding and manufacturing upon high school graduation.

**Program Structure**

Participants will receive high school credit and a paid hourly wage from Caterpillar while gaining classroom and hands-on experience throughout three phases:

+ **Phase I: Summer Internship**

+ **Phase II: Fall Semester Co-Op - For High School Credit**

+ **Phase III: Spring Semester Co-Op - For High School Credit**

**Assembly and Test Specialist**

The Assembly and Test Specialist is responsible for assembling, testing, diagnosing, and repairing prime products and major components to ensure they meet Caterpillar's quality and performance standards.

**Primary Responsibilities**

+ Assemble, test, diagnose malfunctions, and perform adjustments or repairs on prime products and major units, including powershift transmissions, marine transmissions, winches, and fuel injection systems.

+ Inspect units and assemblies to determine the source of malfunctions or performance issues.

+ Assemble, dynamometer test, and repair torque converters.

+ Assemble final drives, pipelayer draw works, direct-drive transmissions, and units required for special attachments or specialized parts usage.

+ Perform assembly operations in sub-assembly areas that support prime product assembly lines.

+ Operate remote radio-controlled cranes or specially equipped vehicles to transport prime products such as wheel loaders, scrapers, and motor graders (as required).

+ Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality expectations, and production timelines.
