Job Description
Honesty-Dependability-Integrity-Professionalism:

If you possess these qualities, then a career in security may be for you! American Sentry Security is currently seeking professional, armed security officers for our Gulfport, MS location. Posts can be indoors or outdoors, office complex, field work, retail, roving or government property. Must be able to stand for a prolonged period of time.

Positions are full or part time with all shifts available. Hours may be extended during holidays and special sales events.

Minimum Qualifications for an Guard:

  • ability to demonstrate proficiency with firearms, if required
  • current state Security License, or ability to obtain such
  • must be at least 21 yrs of age
  • must have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • possess a current Security Firearms Permit, if required
  • must be able to provide your own firearm (.38-.45 revolver or .380-9mm), if required
  • be able to pass extensive background check (no felonies or major misdemeanors) and random drug screens
  • possess a cellphone capable of supporting our timekeeping app

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of experience in armed or unarmed security
  • Military background
  • Law enforcement or corrections experience
