About the position

The Customer Analytics team is dedicated to empowering the Customer Services organization with actionable insights. The team analyzes data, identifies trends, and provides strategic recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction, optimize processes, and drive informed decision-making. The team's mission is to enable exceptional customer experiences through data-driven excellence. As an Analytics Developer/Data Engineer on this team, you will work on dashboards, interactive visualizations, data pipelines, and reports. The successful candidate will utilize their experience with all Business Intelligence (BI) domains from translating requirements to sourcing, profiling, and modeling data, to ETL and dashboard development. This role will work closely with business partners to develop and implement analytical data models and dashboards. To excel in this role, the candidate should complement their analytical skills with a technical understanding of data pipelines and be versed in multiple data systems. This role will be split 75% analytics development, 25% data engineering. You will work alongside Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Representatives, Programmers, and Analytics Developers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop dashboards including business metrics and performance indicators that drive action and insights (PowerBI experience preferred)
  • Be able to perform complex data queries, as well as build and maintain ETL pipelines utilizing data migration services (Azure Data Factory, SSIS), languages, and tools that connect various data sources (Snowflake, SQL Server, DB2)
  • Apply query, data exploration and transformation, basic statistical methods and visualization techniques to create business insights or improve data quality
  • Collaborate with operational/IT business leads to recognize and help adopt best practices in data delivery, analysis, integrity, and validation.
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization

Requirements

  • For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years).
  • For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years).
  • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).
  • Prefer degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Development/Query languages: SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, SnowSQL, etc.), Python
  • Platforms/Tools: PowerBI, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Dataiku, Legacy Databases (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle), SSIS, SSRS
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerBI, Power Query, Paginated Reports, and related tools
  • Strong proficiency with Snowflake SQL and SQL Server T-SQL
  • Experience coding ETL processes in Azure Data Factory and SSIS
  • Expertise in modern database technologies, data integration, reporting
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling (Prefer 3+ years)
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, organization and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present analysis or technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a clear and understandable manner
  • A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of SAP and its data-related tools (Datasphere, Analytics Cloud, etc) is a plus
