Solina serves delicious,quick,and affordable handmade pasta. The menu champions Italian flavour combinations and British produce,with meat supplied by the Walcot Group’s own butcher’s shop. Guests can expect tasty dishes including ragùs,ravioli,and cacio e pepe.


Objectives of the Role


The Assistant General Manager supports the smooth running of the venue by providing quality and seamless service standards. As AGM you will be supporting the General Manager with the development of the team and the day-to-day running of the venue. You will be leading by example and act as a role model for the team across all areas of the venue,mentoring,motivating and inspiring them to deliver the best possible guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the General Manager in the day-to-day organising of the venue,taking full responsibility in their absence
  • Ensures completion of compliance checklists
  • Has a great front of house presence and effectively plans and manages daily shifts to ensure all guests and team members are looked after
  • Understands our brand and culture of high product quality and uncompromising service
  • Upholds high standards of personal presentation and behaviour,ensures this is instilled in the team


Operational

  • Ensures CPL trainings are carried out by new starters within 2 weeks of employment
  • Ensures adequate staffing levels to balance service standards with budgets
  • Prepares reports at the end of the shift/week
  • Ensures menus are well maintained,up to date and changes are communicated with the team
  • Ensures all controllable costs are kept to a minimum and looking for ways to improve profitability


People Management

  • Offer clear direction and briefings to the management team and supports positive,clear communication with all departments
  • Arrange and attends training and team meetings,and ensures team take full advantage of relevant learning and development opportunities
  • Offers effective and timely feedback and conducts regular structured reviews
  • Assists in disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with legal and company guidelines
  • Supports the recruitment of ideal team members who can demonstrate a culture which adds to the company
