As an Accounting Team Leader, you are responsible for overseeing the accounting team's daily work. You will be providing operational and technical guidance to the accounting associates, overseeing and reviewing their work for accuracy and efficiency. Assist the Accounting Supervisor and Manager to ensure the financial and accounting operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be assigned to lead a team of 1 or 2 accounting associates.
  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting/bookkeeping operation of the assigned client/team.
  • Perform scoping and onboarding activities as assigned by management.
  • Provide accounting/bookkeeping assistance to other teams if needed.
  • Performs special projects as an individual contributor not limited to accounting system migration, reconstruction of financial statements, and catch-up or clean-up of financial records, among others.
  • Responsible and Accountable for the team’s overall client success by making sure that the scope of work is being performed by standards, meeting or exceeding client’s expectations. Handling the complexity of the accounts, driving and resolving issues, and continuously improving processes to make them simple and systematic, among others.
  • Implementation of LMS tools within the team – TDL Dashboards, Rocks, Scorecards, L10 (reporting), among others. Including performing assessments and formulating strategies that will improve the team's results.
  • Provides leadership skills to the team - ability to simplify, ability to anticipate, ability to elevate and delegate, ability to structure, and ability to systemize.
  • Performs admin or other task as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) but not required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy (BSA)
  • With 5 years of total working experience in the Accounting field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Team Lead role or similar capacity
  • Experience in leading at least 1-3 members
  • Experience with catering services or assisting US and/or offshore clients is an advantage.
  • Competent in handling bookkeeping and accounting operations
  • Can perform assessment and review of operational concerns.
  • Can recommend continuous improvements of existing processes.
  • Leadership skills and/or the ability to handle a team or people.
  • Sound knowledge of various accounting operations, principles, and practices
  • Good communication skills - written & verbal
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, resourceful & self-starter.
  • Preferably can start immediately
  • Candidates based in or near Metro Manila are preferred.
  • Willing to attend a face-to-face interview during the final stage.
  • Open to travel for situational meet-ups and company events
